In
the interest of efficient time management, registrants
will be emailed meeting reports (budget, membership,
etc.) in advance and copies of those reports will
be provided to all attendees during the morning registration
session. This should eliminate the need for oral reporting
(except perhaps allocating some time for questions
about the reports) to ensure that we can accomplish
all of our business.

"Organizing around the Spellings Commission"

California
Faculty Association leader, Susan Meisenhelder, will
discuss ongoing federal and state attempts to standardize
higher education, corporatize colleges and universities,
and diminish shared governance and faculty control.
She will also suggest how faculty might organize
to address the Spellings Commission Report.
